1 - Nut

2 - Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-

3 - Seal

Engine Oil

• Draining and filling the engine oil, checking the oil level and removing and installing the oil filter element.
• Oil capacities, oil specifications and viscosity classes. Refer to the → Maintenance Tables.

  Caution

Danger of catalytic converter damage.

The oil level must not exceed the "MAX" mark.

Oil Pan Lower Section, Removing and Installing

Special tools and workshop equipment required

• Engine Support Bridge - Spindle -10-222A/11-

Removing

• Engine oil drained.

- Remove the front left and right wheel spoilers. Refer to → Body Exterior; Rep. Gr.66; Wheel Housing Liner; Front Wheel Housing Liner, Removing and Installing.

- Remove the rear noise insulation. Refer to → Body Exterior; Rep. Gr.66; Noise Insulation; Overview - Noise Insulation.

- Remove the bolt -arrow- and free up the wiring harness bracket -1-.

- Remove the left and right bolt -2- from the engine mount.

  Note

Ignore item -1-.

- Support the engine in the installation position. Refer to → Chapter "Engine, Supporting in Installation Position".

  Caution

Risk of damaging the drive axles.

When lifting the engine the drive axles must not come into contact with the suspension struts.

- Lift the engine using the -10-222A/11--1- to dimension -a-.

• Dimension -a- = 20 mm.
